About Leopard 3
Launched in 2007 by McConaghy Boats in New Zealand, the 30m (100’) super maxi yacht Leopard 3 was conceived by Farr Yacht Design with styling by Ken Freivokh.
Her conception, her 47 metre Southern Spars carbon mast, and her canting keel make her one of the fastest sailing yachts in the world, capable of top speeds in excess of 35 knots under sail.
Following a four year successful race campaign and multiple world records, Leopard 3 has evolved through a 2012 interior refit adding three luxurious en suite double guest cabins and two single guest cabins, into a yacht also available for the charter market.
Broad, companionway carbon steps lead down to a spacious saloon. Elegant, minimalist and modern the saloon is filled with home comforts and comfortably seats 12. There is a large dining table to port surrounded by ample seating in appealing rich fabrics. The furnishings are creams, whites and pines, increasing the sense of space.
The open cockpit encompasses seating for eight around a custom designed, carbon-folding table. This spacious guest area is free from control lines and deck gear and has a fully convertible cockpit bimini system for guests wanting to protect themselves from the sun.
